remember this post? of course you don’t. anyway, it’s a picture of me wearing my cheap silly glasses from lens crafters and oh! oh! lookie! I found a lady wearing them too and took a picture! at…subway. my life isn’t sad at all.
so today, i’m watching True Life: I’m a Sugar Baby, and this girl GG’s severely Asian mother who wants her to keep reeling in sugar daddies to give HER money is wearing my glasses. how should I feel about this?

you wanna go camping, i’ll take you camping.
I survived, AWWWWWWWW YEAHHHHHHHH.
I have no frame of reference, because this was my first HHN (i’ve always been too much of a wimp to go), but I have to say, I had one SCREAM of a time. truly amazing work went into creating those mazes. WOW. So thankful to have been able to go on employee preview night (so much less crowded).
my body is going to hurt tomorrow from all the running and screaming and flinching in terror. the Hallowe’en season has begun.
how are you gonna fill ‘em when you grow up? let it rip regardless of what anybody tells you, that’s my idea; sit down and SMOKE that baby.

you sit around thinking about what it will be like to drink Pumpkin Spice Lattes together. you wait for hours to tell me in person that Father of the Bride Part II is FINALLY on Netflix Instant, and then start watching it with me when it’s already 10:15 and we’re both tired. you dance around and point your toes with the most feminine grace because you know that will make me laugh harder than anything else. you watch HOURS of tv that isn’t your favorite because you know i love it. you hug me and hug me and hug me when i tell you that the new rule is that we have to wordlessly hug each other for an as yet undetermined amount of time EACH time we see each other.
you take a backseat to my friends when you know it’s really important.
you push me to be great.
you ask me to push you to be great.
i just wanted to say thank you. that’s all.

i hung some Halloween lights tonight.
i love Halloween more than most things in this world. when I was teeny tiny, some of my favorite moments were of my mom pulling me in close as we watched the opening credits of John Carpenter’s Halloween and saying “oooooh, we’d better SNUGGLE!!! this is SO SCARY!!!” this is still my favorite movie of all time.
spooks and ghouls and Hocus Pocus and Casper and Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street and candles and Jack o’ Lanterns and mulled cider and Pumpkin Spice Lattes and and and and and
i could HONESTLY go on for hours.
it’s my favorite time of year, and tonight, I gave myself a satisfying little moment of orange glow. Let’s face it, I’ll probably sleep with them on alllllll night.

this day.
i had breakfast with Alec, we watched two episodes of South Park (The List and The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs, for those who are curious).
then we jumped on the bed and acted silly (and looked at things on tumblr together and watched Diane Sawyer interview Stephen King about a million years ago).
then we got in the car and headed to Larchmont for the sole purpose of getting Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks; however, seeing as how it was FUCKING NINETY FOUR DEGREES OUT, decided to get iced coffees instead.
then we came back to my place and said, EFF THIS, we’re getting in the POOL, and got in the pool and floated around like a couple of lazy birds (well, Alec did several laps before commencing the floating), only stopping to fish a few suicidal bees out of the pool.
THEN i took a shower and we packed up my laundry to head over to Alec’s place (I have to pay to do laundry and he’s got a washer and dryer in his condo), and we got there and I did two loads of laundry while he did a script comparison for work. we stopped at various points so he could teach me how to play Marilyn Manson’s The Beautiful People on the guitar, and so we could sing Lisa Loeb’s “Stay” in perfect harmony and so he could play twelve bar blues for 10 minutes because he knows it’s my favorite thing. Oh, and I’m also reading Christine, so I did that too.
then we went and got Subway and came back and watched Tootsie with his roommate Chris who I love more than life itself and then Alec brought me home and I talked to MY roommate Chris for like an hour and a half about New York and relationships and friends and HALLOWEEN AND OCTOBER AND DECORATIONS AND CARVING PUMPKINS AND SCARY MOVIES because let’s face it, i live for October.
I’d say that today……..was one of those days that helps you remember that you’re alive, and that you GET to do all of this.
